Google CEO Sundar Pichai has confirmed that the company is nearing an agreement with Apple to bring its flagship generative AI model, Gemini, to the iPhone ecosystem. Speaking during a recent interview, Pichai stated that both companies are in “active and productive discussions,” with the goal of finalizing terms before the end of 2025.

The integration, if successfully implemented, would enable Apple’s digital assistant Siri to harness Gemini’s capabilities for handling more complex, nuanced user queries. This strategy would mirror Apple’s rumored collaboration with OpenAI, where ChatGPT could power advanced conversational responses in upcoming iOS versions.
