NEURA Robotics has unveiled the fourth generation of its humanoid robot, 4NE1 Gen 4, marking a significant milestone in the company's pursuit of cognitive robotics. The announcement came during a two-stage launch event that underscored the robot's rapid transition from development to real-world deployment.

The first unveiling took place at the opening of the TUM RoboGym in Munich, a facility built in collaboration with the Technical University of Munich and TUM MIRMI. The RoboGym serves as a training ground where companies teach robots real-world tasks, with partners from various industries already conducting training sessions there since September.

The 4NE1 Gen 4 is a cognitive humanoid robot developed by NEURA Robotics in Germany. Neura Robotics is headquartered in Metzingen, Baden-Württemberg. The company develops collaborative robots, autonomous mobile robots, and humanoid robots designed operate alongside humans.

The humanoid robot supports industrial, domestic, and service tasks.
The 4NE1 Gen 4 pairs human-like form and perception with advanced AI to collaborate safely with people across work and life. The robot blends mobility, sensing, and interaction in a single system to support industrial, domestic, and service tasks. Its modular design allows adaptations for a wide range of real-world environments. The 4NE1 Gen 4 was in full action at NVIDIA GTC in Berlin, where Jensen Huang put his signature on the humanoid robot. According to NEURA Robotics, 4NE1 Gen 4 is designed to work with people in the real world.

The robot features a slimmer, lighter body engineered for series production, weighing twenty percent less than its predecessor, and a soft black textile skin that gives it a more approachable appearance. This combination of human-centered design and industrial ambition represents the company's next step toward humanoid robots development that move beyond the showcase and into everyday working environments.

The new robot is stronger, smarter, and smoother in every movement, learning from the work it does and sharing every skill it gains with connected robots. Its new central brain runs on NEURA's multimodal Physical AI foundation model, NEURON AI, which sees in 3D, feels contact and force, hears what it cannot see, and remembers what it has already done, all running locally on the robot.

Advanced hands allow an even more accurate grip, while reflexes built into the limbs let each one react independently so motion stays precise even when conditions change. The robot stands 180 centimeters tall, weighs 80 kilograms, carries a payload of 10 to 20 kilograms, and reaches speeds of up to 5 kilometers per hour, with remote operation and exchangeable forearms available.

4NE1 navigates unstructured industrial environments, understands complex tasks, and responds to changing conditions in real time. With full-body sensing, adaptive control, and safe human interaction, it brings new levels of flexibility to logistics, manufacturing, and beyond. The robot is also built to assist with everyday tasks at home, from carrying objects and helping with routines to responding naturally to voice commands, blending into daily life so users have more time for life's major moments.

NEURA Robotics offers 4NE1 in dedicated models for different environments, including versions on wheels for industrial floors or with a 7th axis for extended reach, ensuring performance matches the specific demands of every task and workflow. The company has also introduced 4NE1 Mini, which brings full cognitive capabilities within reach in a smaller, more accessible form for research, education, and entertainment applications, with reservations now open ahead of delivery in Spring 2026.

At the NEURA Gyms, the new robot is already learning and performing real-world tasks every day, a testament to the company's assertion that Physical AI is real and, as of today, one step closer to reality.
